John Mi
Although born in China and an architect by profession, John's continual need to experience new cultures and people led him to relocate to Australia in 1989 where he studied Interior Design at RMIT.
This transition from Eastern to Western ways of life has inspired him to express his thoughts and feelings through photography.
John's compositions capture the feeling of serenity that can be gained through spiritual belief.
"The people in Tibet lead lives that eternally revolve around their pillars of life, whether that pillar is a mountain, a lake, a monastery, a wall or even a sage. From the Sangha with deep red Kasaya, to the worshippers who devoutly perform the full prostration, to the civilians who spin the prayer wheel to spread spiritual blessings - they have been on their journey of pilgrimage for centuries." John Mi.
John's images have been shown in successful exhibitions in Australia, Russia and China and reflect the strength of his artistic inspiration.

Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery
This is the fifth exhibition presented in partnership by Multicultural Arts Victoria and Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery.
This ongoing partnership aims to build social cohesion and harmony by celebrating the rich cultural and artistic traditions of Victoria's many ethnic communities.
