Tito Puente Jr. (USA)

Tito Puente Jr

Determined to nurture the musical legacy left by his father, Tito Puente Jr will be performing many of his father's well known classics and some original Jr compositions.

Puente Jr's performances have delighted audiences worldwide, refusing to let his father become a distant memory: "He was just too vibrant, too exciting.

There was magic in the music my father made. It made people happy all over the world."

Orquesta Del Barrio

Local support will come from Melbourne favourites Orquesta Del Barrio, with a performance of authentic, 1970's, New York Latin rhythms.

They have been growing their fanbase on the club and festival circuit since 1994 with their unique and infectious Afro-Caribbean and Latin sound. Ray Barreto, Ruben Blades, Celia Cruz, El Gran Combo, and Tito Puente are just some of the artists that inspire their music.

Joining Orquesta Del Barrio will be a gifted performer who will further transport us to the era of classic and sophisticated salsa with her voice and guitar.

Ileana Posas

Ileana Posas is an award wining singer/songwriter and was a star in her home country of El Salvador before arriving to Australia as a political refugee.
