In August The Executive Officer of Multicultural Arts Victoria Jill Morgan will be travelling to China on a multicultural delegation organised by the Australian Multicultural Foundation.

The Delegation

The delegation will be headed by Dr Hass Dellal OAM, Executive Director, Australian Multicultural Foundation.

The delegation will also include Professor John Nieuwenhuysen and Ms Padmini Sebastian.

Purpose

The purpose of the delegation is to strengthen relationships between the Peoples Republic of China and Australia by sharing knowledge and experiences related to Multicultural Affairs.

The opportunity will be taken to introduce other organisations and institutes working in similar fields in other countries to the State Ethnic Affairs Commission for future collaboration and work

The delegation is designed to give an understanding of the Peoples Republic of China and its 56 ethnic minority groups as well as developing opportunities for collaborative work of the delegates in their respective fields.

The delegation builds on a successful relationship between the Chinese Government, the Australian Multicultural Foundation and Multicultural Arts Victoria developed over recent years.
