Driven by young Indigenous leaders in the community 'Skillz' Indigenous Youth forum will be a day about empowering Indigenous young people to celebrate their heritage and strengths in the arts.
Youth Indigenous Forum
The forum will target 20 to 30 Indigenous young people aged between 14 - 18 years old.
Participants will get the opportunity to meet and be inspired by Indigenous leaders in the arts arena.
Be encouraged to voice their opinions, ask questions and get answers to get ahead and realize their individual dreams.
The day will consist of interactive workshops including Hip Hop - Spoken Word/Rap presented by our koorie representatives, leader's panel, performances and food.
Hip Hop Workshops
Workshops Hip Hop - Spoken Word, Rapping and dancing workshops This workshop will be headed by dynamic groundbreaking hip hop artists the workshop will be about - using hip hop and arts as a platform to have a voice and create positive change.
Leadership Panel
Leadership Panel The panel will consist of leaders/artists from the Indigenous community.
They will speak about their career pathways and the choices they made.
Arts and cultural and career planning resources and how they can access them.
