Join the Premier of Victoria on the Walk for Harmony on 12 July 2009 to show your support for cultural diversity in Victoria.

The Premier John Brumby has invited all Victorians to join him on the Walk for Harmony on Sunday, 12 July 2009 to reaffirm to the world Victoria's strong support for multiculturalism.
The Walk will bring together Victorian communities to recognise and celebrate the enormous contribution of ethnic, cultural and religious communities to the state.
"Now is the time to highlight to a national and international audience that our commitment to multiculturalism is stronger than ever and that the Victorian community values the contributions that people from around the world have made to our state," Mr Brumby said.
The Walk
Meet at the Carlton Gardens at 1pm and head down La Trobe St and Swanston St to reach Federation Square. The Walk will finish with a free half an musical hour concert.

Volunteers
Details will be announced in the coming days. Volunteers especially are required.
Duties will include: assisting marshals to direct people along the route of the Walk; distributing promotional materials and providing general information about the Walk.
The time commitment will be 4 hours between 11.30am-3.30pm on Sunday 12 July.
