The Visible Sessions have evolved through MAV's work with the Arts Centre on the Mix It Up initiative and through MAV's Visible music mentorship project which for the past four years has given a kick start to an incredible range of musical talents from all around the globe and which has supported some of the most exciting and innovative new world music acts to emerge in Melbourne in recent years.
The Visible Sessions provide a unique 'small stage' performance and creative development platform for Visible artists to further develop their skills and profile and to connect with audiences in the Melbourne music scene.

The FRESH project
The FRESH project has been established as a response to the growing need for local Urban music artists to take their unique style and exceptional talent to the next level.
Approximately thirty young MCs, Vocalists, and Beatmakers who come from diverse cultural backgrounds including Indigenous, African and Polynesian have signed up to take part in FRESH 2009.
These young people - each with their own unique style of Hip Hop, RnB, Soul, and Reggae - will gain new skills in music business, promotion, performance and recording.
With inspirational guest speakers such as Grace Vanilau (Brown Roots Collective), and Mark Lang (Skipping Girl Vinegar), FRESH training is aimed at building a strong foundation for what is hoped to be the beginning of sustainable music careers for well deserving young artists.
