Emerging sounds of Melbourne come together this July for Visible a FREE music concert at the Art Centre’s Hamer Hall.

Celebrate the launch of Visible Vol 4,the latest compilation CD to be produced through Multicultural Arts Victoria’s unique mentoring program Visible, with showcase of awesome local talent.

For the past three years, Multicultural Arts Victoria’s Visible music mentorship project has given a kick start to an incredible range of musical talents from all around the globe with Visible 2009 supporting some of the most exciting and innovative new world music acts to emerge in Melbourne in recent years.

Be part of a musical revolution on Sunday July 26th as contemporary and traditional African cultures come together in a massive showcase at Hamer Hall to launch the annual Visible CD.

Live performances and cultural displays from 3pm

Arrive from 3pm and enjoy a feast of colour and sound in the Hamer Hall foyers with cultural activities, speciality market stalls, visual arts and Sassy’s Jamaican Kitchen. Plus live music from artists featured on Visible Vol 4 including Landid Sound and Kundalila.

Melbourne-based Hip Hop artist, Elf Tranzporter with his crew of outstanding artists, including Japanese natives DJ TakaCo/HeadChefSonik and TWOONE, deliver an innovative multi art experience fusing rap, vocals, dance, turntablism, electronic music and live visual arts.

Fresh Artists

Evolving from Multicultural Arts Victoria's Emerge Cultural Network, FRESH is an exciting new project for young emerging Hip Hop, R&B, Soul, Reggae and Dancehall artists from culturally diverse and Indigenous backgrounds.

Representing FRESH at Visible will be Pacifc urban hip hop & r'n'b crew, First Verse and members of Payback Records, Allter Egoz.

4 Degrees of Separation refers to the north, south, east and west corners of the global compass which co-exist side by side in a multicultural Australia.

Talented young producer/artist Momo aka Mohamed Komba (Diafrix) leads the way, with an eclectic and outstandingly talented array of singers, emcees and musicians to produce world class urban world music tracks featuring: Motley, Tristan Ludowyk, Mikey Chan, Luis Poblete, William Kadima, 1/6, Gerald Frederic, Rose Paez, Paul Mbenna, Wayne Lotek, Florelie and Evianne Camille.
