Mix It Up: Gypsy Queens & Kings @ the Arts Centre

the Arts Centre, Hamer Hall, 100 St. Kilda Rd, Melbourne

An epic, rapid-fire celebration of Gypsy life & song combining the power of the brass section of the legendary Fanfare Ciocarlia with the Gitano guitars of Kaloome & the soul of the great voices of the Roma community.

With musicians and dancers from all over Europe taking you on a journey through some of the most pulsating, moving and beautiful music you are ever likely to hear.

As well as the pumping beats of the brass section, the concert features guest vocalists - heroes in their home countries - include Macedonia's ‘Queen of the Gypsy Singers' Esme Redzepova, Bulgarian star Jony Iliev, the electricfying vocals of Mitsou from Hungary & Romanian Florentina Sandu.
