The Carriers is an ongoing project by artist Van Thanh Rudd dedicated to exposing contemporary, culturally diverse art beyond the gallery scene to new audiences in public spaces.

"The paintings that Rudd carries on the city streets exude an explosive energy - emotionally and politically charged, and mindful of the audience beyond the gallery." Nick Rolph, Melbourne Artist, 2006

THE CARRIERS - Local Terrain

In The Carriers - Local Terrain, Van teams up with local culturally diverse artists in each destination to carry their art work together onto the streets, parks, trains, buses and trams.

Moving to the flow of people, Van Thanh Rudd and team aim to provide a fresh and innovative experience of Australian multicultural art to people of all ages and cultures.

Look out for Van and the Carrying Team on the streets soon.
