ARTIST

"These are paintings from the last 2 years: angels cats, nudes, landscapes and other things, including a nude self-portrait.

I don’t do things like style, theme, social comment or story because I believe that painting is just painting.

Like I don’t believe in genre in films.

To me each painting is a fresh adventure, a new battle.

Self-contained.

If I survive I might go into the next one.

And the next one.

But I’m never sure whether the next one is going to be the last one.

Painting is dangerous.

Exhibiting is excruciating.

Why do I do it? Some people climb mountains, others jump out of a plane without a parachute, some volunteer to go to wars.

I paint.
