King Marong & SAFARA in association with Multicultural Arts Victoria (MAV) and the Victorian Multicultural Commission (VMC) presents Sambala 2006: Sending The Message.

SAMBALA, meaning sending the message in Manding, the main language spoken in The Gambia, Senegambia and Mali is the essence of the raison d'etre for this inaugural cultural festival designed to celebrate and educate the djembe rhythms that carry the songlines for West Africa.
