Black Harmony Gathering 2006 - celebrating cultural diversity

A FREE CONCERT showcasing a sensational range of Indigenous, African and culturally diverse music and dance.

Held in the heart of Indigenous land and multicultural communities on the banks of the Yarra River under the trees.

This free event, "say no to racism", is sponsored by the City of Yarra. Experience the fabulous Indigenous bands rocking with the Africans & cool jazz from the Kurdish.

There’ll be Halal food, Senegalese delights & a good old Aussie BBQ of kangaroo & emu sausages bought to us from our Indigenous hosts.Plus face painting, basket weaving & hair-braiding.

The concert will be featuring Koori Youth Will Shake Spears, Joel Ma, Koori Youth Band, Thula Sana, Baran, Diafrix, Sudanese Womens Group, Jali Buba Kuyateh, Koori Hip Hop dancers and more; with MC’s Richard Frankland and Lisa Bellear.
