MAV provides artistic and project management support to artists and organisations.
MAV plays an important role in ensuring the projects profile, success and professionalism from the initial funding proposal, project management and advice, marketing of the project to the final acquittal and reporting requirements.

Initiatives
Some innovative CCD initiatives have included: New Zealand Festival held at Federation Square and attended by 50,000 people 'What is a Warrior?' partnership with Warrior Spirit Art Collective, Koori Community performances at Playbox Theatre at the Malthouse, Pysanka Easter Egg project with the Ukrainian community, Chinese Children's Environmental Arts project with the Chinese community, Back to African cultural values with the Rawandan, Congolese and Burundi communities and many more.
Continued support of best practice CCD community arts projects in professional settings plus ongoing seminars with funding bodies is an integral part of the ongoing MAV program.
MAV also works with many communities in partnership auspicing community cultural development projects.

Te Kotahitanga - Unity (Festival New Zealand) @ Federation Square
Te Roopu Ataawhai & Te Kerangatahi in partnership with Multicultural Arts Victoria presented Festival New Zealand. A 40 foot long carved Maori Waka (war canoe) was rowed on the Yarra, and there were Polynesian and Maori cultural events throughout the day, plus live screening of the Bledisloe Cup
