Vejay
was born in Malaysia, of Indian origin, immigrated to Australia in 1981.
His Film, TV and theatre credits include guest starring role in Blue
Healers, State Coroner, Embassy, Red Back Heroes, Every Night …..
Every Night, Bigger Than Tina. He has appeared in over 26 short films
and video clips, including a starring role in 28 Days music clip.
Apart from theatre, Vejay has been involved in a number of projects,
mainly in the roles of theatre project development, artistic direction
and production. He is currently working on MAV initiated performance
projects Global Grooves (Fringe Festival 2002) and Frontiers 3 (Melbourne
Festival 2002).
He studied acting at the Theatre of the Absurd, in Perth, WA, for two
and a half years. He studied psycho-drama, and acting course at WAAPA
and VCA.
Vejay’s work draws inspiration from a broad canvass of life experience
that takes in travelling and working in most urban and outback areas
of Australia. He has traveled through Europe and lived in most parts
of South and South East Asia, particularly India and Nepal.
