Luscious,
exciting and virtuosic gypsy melodies, seductive tango rhythms and sensuous
songs from Europe and Latin America - music to swoon by. Stiletto Sisters
is a dynamic trio featuring gorgeous 3-part harmonies with Hope Csutoros
on violin, Judy Gunson on piano accordion and Jo To on double bass.
The band plays regularly in Melbourne and can be seen every Wednesday
night in Chapel St, Windsor, at the delicious Borsch, Vodka & Tears
as well as Sundays at the Palace Hotel in City Road, Port Melbourne. Up

Stiletto Sisters have just returned from performing in Sydney and Adelaide
where they launched their debut CD "Live at the Spiegeltent"
recorded at their sell-out concert at last year's Melbourne Festival.
Hope Csutoros (violin): Hope studied at the Victorian College of the Arts
and at the Budapest Franz Lizst Academy of music in Hungary. She has toured
extensively in Europe, the UK, Singapore and Japan with a variety of groups
. As well as Stiletto Sisters, Hope performs with pop group My Friend
the Chocolate Cake, gypsy quintet Cosmo Cosmolino and deflocked string
quartet (which participated in the Melbourne 2000 Musica Viva program).
Hope is greatly in demand as a recording artist for film music, contemporary
classical as well as recording with popular artists such as Midnight Oil
and Deborah Conway.
Judy Gunson (piano accordion & voice): Judy studied the piano and
completed her music degree at Latrobe University. She worked for many
years as performer and composer particularly with celebrated Melbourne
theatre company Anthill Theatre. She has toured extensively in Australia
and as well as internationally to festivals in Latin America, Europe and
Asia with the acclaimed Chamber Made Opera . Judy performs regularly with
Melbourne groups Cosmo Cosmolino, the Stiletto Sisters and Combo Combo
as accordionist, pianist and singer.
Jo To (double bass): Jo To has just completed her Bachelor of Music at
the Victorian College of the Arts, where she received the Frances Quinn
Encouragement Award in 2000. She has a thoroughly broad range of local
experience and performance credits to her name, including work with: Ray
Charles, Renee Geyer, The Australian Pops Orchestra, Tony Gould, Alex
Pertout, Rhonda Birchmore, Greg Arnold, Tony Barber, and the Cast of Blue
Heelers. Jo is currently in demand as a session musician in Melbourne,
playing with groups of many different styles including Jazz, Rock, Pop,
Folk, Big Band and Classical, and is very happy to be the newest member
of The Stiletto Sisters gypsy trio.
