Rosamel
Burgos, originally from Chile, writes, arranges and plays music
from the Andean region (Peru, Bolivia, Chile) of South America. A versatile
multi-instrumentalist, he is proficient in a range of traditional instruments
which include the quena (bamboo flute), pan flutes, charango (10 string
instrument), guitar and small percussion. A unique aspect of his performances
is his ability to play guitar and pan flutes simultaneously. Rosamel has
recently released his debut CD, SPIRIT OF THE INCAS which takes the listener
on a musical and spiritual journey.
Rosamel can perform in a range of formats : solo, as a duo, trio or full band for festivals, concerts, private functions or other special events. He also performs in schools, combining storytelling with music. Workshops on Playing and Making Pan Flutes are also available.
