GOJAM is comprised of six of Australia's best and accomplished players and writers from the jazz and blues scene who have had much success over theyears touring in different line ups in Europe and the United States.Their music is a fresh blend of African singing, hip hop, blues and funk, harmonically rich and rhythmically strong, explosive multicultural music is guaranteed to shake your booty.
Enushu - Born Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, 1972.
Enushu began her singing career in early childhood, performing for her local community and family. In 1992 her life became endangered and she was forced to take refuge in Cairo. In 1996 she migrated to Australia. Enushu’s individual style embraces the vocal legends of Ethiopia.
Peter Harper has been playing and composing professionally since 1975 performing in Australia, Europe, Africa and Asia. His major instruments are Alto Saxophone and Flute. His main influences of style are the Afro-American Jazz legends, Ethiopian music and rhythm based world music.
Mick Harper picked up his skills from many years of study and travel throughout Australia and abroad.
Souren has been travelling the world for twenty years as a percussion player and brings congas, African drums and funky percussion to the band.
